The eight-week online course with a Capstone Event in Bozeman, Montana is open to all ORTAs and technology transfer professionals interested in developing a solid introductory base of technology transfer (T2) skills and best practices. Tech Transfer Foundations is only offered once per year!
About the Course
Tech Transfer Foundations provides a fundamental, professional training experience for T2 stakeholders in the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). Upon course completion, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed as a T2 professional in support of the DOD mission. The Foundations course covers:
- T2 basics and best practices.
- Evaluating intellectual property and innovations for T2 potential.
- Fostering a T2 culture in the lab.
- Key T2 tools and how to use them.
- Partnering opportunities with private sector businesses.
These dynamic topics and more are delivered through online modules and an optional in-person capstone event in Bozeman, Montana.
